🌯 Gigit Wrapped? Sure! 🤘 New version in the app stores

New year, new gear! A brand new app version is waiting for you in the App & Play Stores.

Gigit 3.1 in app stores now!

What’s new?

🏑 Hit us with your algorithm stick!

With almost 200,000 gigs added - plus integrated access to the big concert database of our partner Festivalinfo - it was about time to revamp Gigit's search engine. So we did. And oh Snap! The new algorithm is a dancer.

We’ll spare you the geeky details, because the only thing that matters is that it will make it easier for you to find your gigs.

🔍 Advanced search & sorting to the rescue

In case a shiny new algorithm doesn’t do it for you, you can also use the new Advanced Search & Sorting options.

We don't know what you're looking for (is it romance or?), but with these new options you’ll be rummaging through the concert database faster than ever.

🌯 Gigit Wrapped? Sure!

Yes, we saw your Spotify Wrapped on Insta. Great taste!

Let’s make some personal charts in Gigit, too.

Here is how you do it:

  • Go to your profile page, click ‘Advanced search & sorting’ and check out your highest (or lowest…) rated gigs by clicking ‘Sorted by’ and choose ‘Highest rated’.

  • Do you want to see your top list of 2016? Click on the ‘Year’ filter (below the search bar) and add ‘2016’.

  • Did you go and see Coldplay 62 times (we’re looking at you, Tim), then make your personal Coldplay charts! Just add Coldplay as an additional filter: click the ‘+’ button, choose ‘Artist’ and select Coldplay.

  • The options are endless, so go and have a play around!

What’s next?

A new search engine is great, but it is nothing without a great database.

In 2022, more than 35,000 gigs were shared across 32 countries. Great stuff, but please read more about the past here. Let’s focus on the future now.

Growing pains

The database grew exponentially, and we’re constantly expanding it even more. But with such rapid growth, it’s inevitable that faulty data sneaks its way in, too. Duplicate gigs/artists/venues, typos, wrong dates, etc etc. This makes searching the gigs you are looking for unnecessarily difficult and sometimes even impossible.

So… let’s Clean this Bandit!

Besides expanding the database, we’re going to clean it up, too.

This is gonna be a biggie, so please bear with us. (If you come across faulty data, please let us know!) We’ll keep you posted.

Share, Sonny, share...

As always, please keep sharing your feedback and suggestions for future features. Drop us a message via feedback@getgigit.com or go to feedback.getgigit.com.
